Mission Statement: It is the mission of the Tehama County 4-H Youth Camp to assure healthy, safe, high quality, well-run, educational and fun camping program experiences for campers and staff that empower members to pursue self-improvement in an inclusive environment.
2020 Camp Director - Keith Skelton
The camp program is open to all youth affiliated with 4-H or not. Youth Camp is an overnight camping experience which lasts for six days; campers experience camp for five days. A full camp consists of 100 campers. Teens are vital to the life of camp, using leadership skills to work with younger campers, co-leaders and adults, being a positive role model, and teaching youth about the outdoors in a camp setting.
Teen Staff are the leaders in camp activities. Teen Staff carry out camp standards and procedures that lead to a quality and safe camp program. As a Teen Staff member, you will have the opportunity to help campers learn life skills and develop confidence, get to know each camper in your cabin, assist with group problem solving and ensure campers have the best time possible while at camp.
