Under general supervision, this position will support the collaborative research on rangeland restoration in intermountain sagebrush systems within California (CA) and Oregon (OR). The incumbent will work with the USDA Agricultural Research Service (USDA ARS) team in Oregon to synchronize the two project teams (UC ANR Sierra Foothill Research & Extension Center and USDA ARS Oregon) across this geographic space.
The incumbent in this position will spend a portion of their time working at both CA and OR rangeland locations. Responsibilities will include developing and installing paired research plots in CA and OR, collecting data on plots and analyzing this data. This position will also be responsible for disseminating results at workshops across both states, as well as preparing technical reports related to these projects.
This position will end on 12/31/2020. Extension beyond this date is contingent on securing new grant funds.
