4-H is a family affair. This means that parents are an important part of our program. Parental involvement is one of the keys to a successful 4-H program. Parents find the 4-H program valuable in helping them to help their children. Our young people discover that the 4-H approach is fun, exciting, and rewarding.
The 4-H Program Community Educators principle responsibility to work with parents, other adult volunteers, and the community to develop a youth program which is most appropriate for the young people of Tehama County.
If any of us can assist you better, please do not hesitate to ask. We would like to help you “make the best better”!
California 4-H has offered a 4-H Families Handbook as well.
4-H Uniform Dress
California 4-H introduced NEW Uniform Guidelines as of July 1, 2015
Proper dress and grooming for an occasion is a matter of exercising good judgment. Dressing well for all 4-H occasions is a skill that individuals should gain knowledge of and value its significance. Adults, members and 4-H staff should encourage this important lesson.
