Forestry Institute for Teachers (FIT) is a week-long Professional Development Program providing cross-curricular training in Next Generation Science Standards, STEAM, and Common Core through examination of current forestry issues.
Each year, the Forestry Institute for Teachers brings together credentialed educators from across California to learn about forest ecosystems and how they influence our everyday lives. FIT graduates earn 3 Academic Credits from UC Davis or Humboldt State University, and 50 hours of professional continuing education. Graduates are also eligible for a $200 stipend support on completion of a curriculum project
